Dear Family, Hope you are all well, as most of you already know the II IBA Championships will again be held at CJ'S in Rosyth, Scotland. This will be on the 24th, 25th and 26th October 2008. Transport to and from the hotels will hopefully run much smoother as we will be cuddled by a dozen or so Taxis during our stay. There is already a total of 'ten' tables plus one practice table at CJ'S this year. We will NOT be using the juke-box for our opening ceremony and bar license extensions have already been applied for the three days of competition. Orkneys is the new member of the family in Rosyth 2008, so we must all make sure that they return to the III IBA Championships in 2009. Please do not hesitate to ask your IBA rep for any assistance. The official agenda will be published very soon on the webpage. God Bless To You All, Paul Cartwright (IBA President) |

|

The Association shall be named as : Islands Blackball Association ( Founded 2007 ). The Association will organise an annual small island/peninsula Blackball Rules Pool Championship, at a central venue, with relatively easy access for participants. In future, the I.B.A. could represent the voice of the small islands in the world of Blackball Pool, and have a stronger influence when deciding major changes in the future of our sport. Furthermore, the I.B.A., with a selection from all the islands, could even play a testimonial match against any of the Big Pool Nations, and maybe WIN!...... |
